Canvas Printing and Stretching

Using our large format canon printer we are able to print your images in a full spectrum of colours and tones onto High quality canvas. Your printed canvas can be stretched using finger jointed canvas stretcher bars or framed to your specification.

We stretch canvas's on a choice of 2.5cm, 3.8cm and 4.5cm deep finger jointed stretching bars.

We coat the final digital canvas print with a protective matt varnish coating that protects the image from dirt, UV ink fading, airborne pollutants and abrasion as well as those annoying fingerprint marks.

Our Canvas Printing Services Include:

Printing On Canvas

We print both artwork and digital photos onto high quality polycotton matte canvas.

We giclée print on a 380gsm polycotton matte canvas, after printing we spray with a UV protective matte coating as standard. This helps to protect the print as well as the canvas, especially against fading from sunlight and fingerprints. Our experience with this canvas has mean that we are able to offer the best colour representation from a digital file, be it artwork or photography.

Canvas Stretching

Our museum quality canvases are hand stretched expertly onto finger jointed stretcher bars, which are available in 3 sizes (2.5cm, 3.8cm and 4.5cm deep). We also provide the option to stretch onto 6mm MDF, in order to accommodate a normal picture frame (Straight Framing) rather than an standard canvas L shape or Shadow Gap Frame.

We also provide a service of stretching original artworks, where our experienced team will advise on the most suitable size and style for the artwork.

Canvas Framing

Straight Framing – By stretching an artwork on 6mm MDF we are able to use a standard picture frame to portray the artwork in an alternative style. The absence of glass means the textures and brush strokes are prominent to the eye and help with any 3D effect. Perfect for public areas with lots of natural light as there is no reflection.

Shadow Gap Framing (L-shape frame) – Apposed to straight framing, shadow gap framing is when there is a gap between the stretched canvas and the frame itself. It is also referred to as an L-shape canvas due to the profile of the frame. This gives a refined high end finish to a canvas.

Canvas Shadow Gap Framing
Our framing workshop offers you a selection of shadow gap frames in solid wood, mounted to measure, for a modern and pared-down effect. Popular with art galleries and exhibitions, this finish is perfect for showcasing your images while giving the impression that the artwork is floating freely inside its frame.
